Meet Mary Tufekcioglu! Mary is our Motivating Mom of the Month for January!

We asked Mary a few questions, and here is what she had to say:
Who are the members of your family?
Our little family consists of my husband Ediz, my mother Giovanna who lives with us, my 14-year-old stepson Mert who lives in Turkey, our 2-year-old daughter Leyla, and soon to welcome our little boy in March 2017!
When did you come to your first FIT4MOM Palos Verdes & San Pedro workout and who or what got you there?
I joined the group in February of 2015 … Leyla was 5-6 months old and I needed an exercise regimen where I didn't have to leave her. I still enjoy coming because I can get a good workout, fresh air outdoors, and Leyla plays with her friends!
What is your FIT4MOM why - what keeps you coming to workout, keeps you involved?
I've always been on the heavier side, and prior to having Leyla, did a lot of exercise (kickboxing at Atomic Boxing, and then with Kim at Journeys, long time member of LA Fitness/Bally's and then Equinox). For different reasons, I limited all that exercise over the past couple years (bad knee, new mommy recovering from c-section, etc.) – FIT4MOM allows me to get regular exercise at my own pace without having to leave Leyla, and bottom line: we both enjoy it together!
What is one of your favorite exercises you have done with FIT4MOM?
I really enjoy the more creative upper body band exercises! And squats … I have strong legs (thanks to the FIT4MOM instructors!). (NOTE: I did not mention stairs … at all.)
