Mom of the Month - March

We are excited to announce our MOM (Motivating Mom of the Month) for March! Each month we take a moment to recognize one of our local FIT4MOM Palos Verdes & San Pedro mamas for her hard work and dedication to lead a healthy lifestyle.

Meet Gail Cigliano! Gail is our Motivating Mom of the Month for March! Gail always comes to class with a smile on her face and if you come to class early, you can sometimes catch her getting in a pre-workout going up the hill at Friendship Park. Gail is mother to two awesome kiddos (Giana and Tony) and is such a wonderful inspiration to our Village!

We asked Gail a few questions, and here is what she had to say:

Who are the members of your family?

My husband Anthony, myself, daughter Giana (3) and son Tony (10M).

When did you come to your first FIT4MOM Palos Verdes & San Pedro workout and who or what got you there?

When Giana was 3 months old! So like 3 years ago now. Nicole Wakefield followed me through Vons ;) told me about the group and I finally showed up a month later and never looked back!

What is your FIT4MOM why - what keeps you coming to workout, keeps you involved? My FIT4MOM "why" is so that I can feel a part of a community that focuses on health and fitness with other positive moms while being able to bring my kids and they can grow up with the memories of the fun they had with the friends they made.

What is one of your favorite exercises you have done with FIT4MOM?

I love squatting around the world and doing the alphabet with our feet for abs.

Lightning Round:

  • Favorite Stroller Strides song? “Fire Truck”
  • Best breakfast before a workout? I can't stop eating in the morning but usually some type of veggie scramble with a fried egg.
  • Most delicious dessert you have ever had? Molten Chocolate Cakes
  • I feel _______ after a FIT4MOM workout. Energized and focused
  • Before I had Giana and Tony, I said I would never… Among a list of many I used to say… Let them play on my cell phone but now I do all the time!
  • Any advice for other moms out there? My advice is simple, every mom, child, and family is different, so just do what works for you and your family, follow your gut and be there for your kids with patience and strength.
