Meet Chasta Nechvatal! Chasta is our Motivating Mom of the Month for May! Chasta is one of the most dedicated mamas in our Village. She is always up for a challenge and is usually the first mama to get started with a workout and pushes herself to the max. We didn’t even know it was possible to do a jump squat as high as Chasta typically jumps!
We asked Chasta a few questions, and here is what she had to say:
Who are the members of your family?
We are a party of 3- My boyfriend Nick, myself, and our son Luca (22 months).
When did you come to your first FIT4MOM Palos Verdes & San Pedro workout and who or what got you there?
I joined FIT4MOM Palos Verdes & San Pedro in March of 2017. My boyfriend was the one that actually discovered FIT4MOM on Yelp after I entered a 3 month weight loss challenge at work and wanted to motivate myself to lose weight and live a healthier life. I also wanted to find another outlet of exercising after hanging up my grass skirt with my Tahitian dance group when I had my son.
What is your FIT4MOM why - what keeps you coming to workout, keeps you involved?
My FIT4MOM “why” is so I can remember to always make time for myself and that I can do it alongside other moms in the community who are going through the exact same experiences as I am. Just being able to relate and identify with other mommies is motivating and inspiring to get through the day. AND I love starting my morning exercising outdoors and showing my son that the world is your jungle gym.
What is one of your favorite exercises you have done with FIT4MOM?
My favorite exercises I love doing with FIT4MOM is the Alphabet and Itsy Bitsy Spider abs. And of course the last three deeps breaths to ourselves before we let our kids free from their strollers.
