We are excited to announce our MOM (Motivating Mom of the Month) for October! Each month we take a moment to recognize one of our local FIT4MOM Palos Verdes & San Pedro mamas for her hard work and dedication to lead a healthy lifestyle.

Meet Brooke Padilla! Brooke is our Motivating Mom of the Month for October! Brooke is an inspiration for our entire village. Brooke is mama to Olivia and is a wonderful part of our village!

We asked Brooke a few questions, and here is what she had to say:

Who are the members of your family?

We are a family of four- my husband Bradley, myself, our daughter Olivia-May (10 months old), and pooch Sage-Trinity.

When did you come to your first FIT4MOM Palos Verdes & San Pedro workout and who or what got you there?

We moved to Los Angeles area when my daughter was only two months old, I joined fit4mom a couple months after that. I was looking to meet other mamas and the workouts just ended up being a huge bonus.

What is your FIT4MOM why - what keeps you coming to workout, keeps you involved?

Since I have joined, I can't imagine not having this village of mamas to spend our mornings with. I love being outdoors everyday with my daughter, showing her the healthy lifestyle of daily exercise, getting advice from all the veteran mamas, seeing all the kids interact after class, and the overall positive vibe.

What is one of your favorite exercises you have done with FIT4MOM?

I've loved getting back into running and the alphabet abs burn so good.

Lightning Round:

  • Favorite Stroller Strides song? Oli's Grandpa and Uncle are both firefighters, so the FIRE song is our favorite
  • Best breakfast before a workout? My go-to breakfast is the same shake everyday. 1 scoop of vegan protein powder, spinach, 1 frozen banana, and blueberries.
  • Most delicious dessert you have ever had? The most delicious dessert I've ever had is peanut butter pie from The Green Temple. If you're in Redondo you have to try it!
  • I feel like ____________ after a FIT4MOM workout. I feel energized, focused, and ready for the rest of the day with my baby girl after a FIT4MOM workout.

Any advice for other moms out there?

I still feel like such a new mom, so I'm having a hard time answering this question. I guess I would say do what feels right in your heart for yourself and family. We are all so different and just trying our very best. Keep rocking whatever is working for you, mamas!
